Arrival By PLANE

For international attendees who are not from directly neighbouring countries it is highly recommended to fly to the International Frankfurt Airport as they offer most flight connections and reliable access to further public transport.

It takes roughly:

• 1,5–3 hours by train

• 3 hours by regular bus

• 1,5 hours by car (A49)

to get to Kassel (station Willhelmshöhe), the closest bigger city, depending on time of arrival.

Alternatively the Hannover Airport accommodates some European cities like Amsterdam, Rome, Stockholm amongst others as well as a limited array of international flights in their summer flight routes. You can check their available flights here: Hannover Airport Information.

Kassel itself has a modest vacation airport which will be not suited for international travel.

Travel by taxi services is not advised for the distance of 170 km from either airport.

Societas Ethica is in the planning phase to arrange for two bus transports for attendees from the Frankfurt Airport only, and should have confirmation with our partners at the Protestant Academy Hofgeismar by June.
